I started in the software industry almost 30 years ago writing middleware software to connect legacy databases to Visual Basic applications. Since then I have worked on everything from a Motorola 68HC12 micro-controller to modern cloud systems. I have mostly worked on desktop and cloud tooling for web and mobile development written in Java.

I am also an enthusiastic mixer of cocktails, dabbler in amateur local journalism, occasional Minecraft obsessive, and wanna-be travel hacker.
